Emirates Flight Attendant Finds Herself in Hot Water After Mocking How An Influencer Took Advantage Of Two Hour First Class Flight

Emirates Passenger Self-Upgrades to First Class, Assaults and Sexually Harasses Flight Attendant

An Emirates flight attendant has found herself in hot water after mocking how a popular Thai influencer spent a two-hour flight from Bangkok to Hong Kong in the airline’s signature First Class suite aboard its flagship Airbus A380 superjumbo.

Going by the name Bifern on the popular social media site TikTok, the young Thai influencer has amassed more than 1.5 million followers with her envy-inducing globe-trotting escapades, but Bifern’s recent trip did not impress one flight attendant.

During the roughly one-and-a-half-minute video, Bifern shows off all the features of Emirates First Class. From taking a shower in the luxurious onboard shower spa to indulging in a decadent caviar service and five-course meal, Bifern even made time to get changed into some airline pajamas and take a nap under a thick duvet.

Like most things on social media, however, things aren’t all they seem, and the Emirates crew member couldn’t help but point out in the public comments to Bifern’s video that she had squeezed all of this into a short two-hour flight.

“All this…. 2 hours. 14 Passengers,” one message from the crew member read. Perhaps referencing the fact that the flight attendants working in First Class would have been hustling to serve everyone on such a short flight.

The disgruntled flight attendant didn’t, however, stop there. Another message read: “She’s good at making clips. It looks like a DXB-SFO (Dubai to San Francisco) flight that takes 15 hours.”

And a third read: “Two hours, shower, eat, sleep. When did you sleep? I don’t know. You even had time to curl your hair. Please.”

Of course, none of what the crew member wrote is untrue. Bifern’s video is clearly edited to make it look like she was enjoying all the amenities of a luxurious First Class experience on a long-haul flight, but the tone riled a lot of other people who enjoyed the video.

As an ex-flight attendant turned social media influencer points out in a video addressing the controversy: “Why would you leave a negative comment to start with and why would you leave a negative comment from a profile that has your full name, that has the information of the airline you work for, that could get you in trouble… it’s mind-boggling to me!”

This isn’t the first Emirates flight attendant that has fallen foul of social media in the last few months.

In February, it was revealed that a former Emirates flight attendant accidentally landed an entire crew she had worked with under investigation after she posted a video of her working onboard on her YouTube channel.

Posted online after she had already resigned, Amanda King created a fascinating look inside the world of being an Emirates flight attendant, but her behind-the-scenes video of a flight to and from Shanghai drew unwanted attention from the airline.

According to insiders, Amanda may have unwittingly got other crew members disciplined after giving away a little too much, including baking a cake onboard and allowing her boyfriend into the restricted crew bunk area during a flight.

Amanda also revealed that she had swapped her assigned crew jumpseat with a colleague in order to sit closer to her boyfriend during takeoff and landing. Emirates was also reportedly unhappy with the location of some safety and emergency equipment being shown on camera, as well as other onboard stowages.

Emirates reportedly opened an investigation into the other crew members because they failed to report Amanda’s behavior to supervisors upon their return to Dubai.

While flight attendants, just like so many other people, increasingly want to publicly share their lives on social media, it can sometimes land crew members with a one-way ticket to see Human Resources.

  • Influenzas are a plague to be mocked without mercy. Narcissism is not a virtue and clowns are not an inspiration.

    • Agreed. Who even wants to watch people be shallow and brag ? Those who can actually afford to travel that way are not impressed.

  • I totally agree with the above poster. The influencers are really pathetic and extremely embarrassing.
Emirates come across as bullies and I would never use them as my first choice for flying. Their cabins are very tacky and you do not experience Emirati culture when onboard as their crew are from all over the world. I have also heard that some crew nationals bully others that are perhaps formless developed countries. Just a truly horrible airline.
