The ‘Crazy Plane Lady’ who went viral in 2023 when she was caught on camera having an epic meltdown on an American Airlines plane due to depart Dallas Fort Worth and accusing her seatmate of not being real has just received an offer from the carrier to stop her frequent flyer miles from expiring.
Going by the real name of Tiffany Gomas, the ‘Crazy Plane Lady’ took to social media platform X on Thursday to share the enticing offer from American Airlines to keep her more than 25,000 AAdvantage miles from disappearing into the ether.

There is, however, just one major problem with AA’s suggestions to keep her miles from expiring, such as spending some of the miles on an award redemption or flying a ‘qualifying segment’ on an American Airlines flight… The airline banned her from flying following her June 2023 outburst.
Two years later, Gomas hasn’t been able to step foot on another American Airlines plane, and in June, her AAdvantage miles will be lost for good.
“Ummm, who’s gonna tell them?” Gomas cheekily asked on X as she shared a screenshot of the email from American Airlines.
Gomas also revealed that American Airlines had initially told her that she would lose all her miles at the same time that she received her flying ban from the carrier, which makes it even more interesting that the airline would now suggest ways for her to keep them active.
“Seems to me like they are just taunting you now,” one commentator on her post replied. Gomas responded with a two-letter response: “fr [for real].”
“You should tell them you want the cash value since they forbid you to use them,” another commentator responded. Gomas, however, has remained pretty humble about to rise to notoriety and offered: “lol, I think I lost them enough money that day that they can keep it.”
Following the infamous June 2023 incident, Gomas initially laid low and somehow managed to avoid detection by internet sleuths before she came forward with a public apology video.
During her viral outburst, Gomas stood at the front of the plane and declared that the person sitting next to her “is not real” before warning other passengers that they would die if they remained on the aircraft.
Talking to the Alex Perry On Fire podcast a year after the incident, Gomas said she voluntarily walked off the plane after her outburst and, after getting home, called her lawyer after coming to the realization that the video of her outburst was going to blow up.
Gomas attributed her behavior to a “pain pill” she took earlier the same day before having two glasses of white wine ahead of her flight in the afternoon.
“I thought I was super relaxed,” Gomas told the podcast. “Nope!”
Thankfully, if Gomas is still able to access her AAdvantage account, she can still keep her miles without having to get on another American Airlines flight. For example, she could make an online purchase through the AAdvantage eShopping mall or even apply for an AAdvantage credit card.
Once Gomas has managed to stop her miles from expiring, she could then credit the miles to a partner loyalty program for an airline she isn’t banned from flying with. Gomas could easily transfer her miles to any Oneworld alliance airline partner, such as Alaska Airlines .
