The body of Celinda Levno, a veteran American Airlines flight attendant who was murdered while on a layover in Denver last Saturday, is to take her last flight later today as she is transported back to her home base of Phoenix.

Celinda will be returned to Phoenix aboard American Airlines flight AA3151, which is set to depart Denver International Airport at 2:27 pm on Friday.

Flight attendants and other airline and airport workers are being encouraged to attend gate C34 at Denver Airport to honor her memory and to support those who are mourning her tragic passing.

Celinda was spending the night in downtown Denver on January 11 during a work layover when she was stabbed in the neck while walking along 16th Street Mall. Tragically, Celinda succumbed to her wounds on arrival at the hospital.

The suspect in Celinda’s murder, 24-year-old Elijah Caudill, was arrested on Sunday night shortly after he allegedly stabbed a man to death in the same area. Officers from the Denver Police Department were patrolling the area on the hunt for the suspect when they saw Caudhil running with a knife.

Officers gave chase and managed to take Caudhil into custody before finding the victim a short time later.

Caudhill has been arrested on suspicion of murdering Celinda and the second victim, as well as stabbing two other random passersby in a series of attacks on Saturday.

The first victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries, while the other victim was transported to the hospital with serious injuries, although he is expected to survive.

Caudhil remains in custody in Denver Downtown Detention Center, where he is being held on charges of First Degree Murder of an at-risk elder, First Degree Murder, and Two counts of Attempted First Degree Murder.

The motives for Caudhil’s alleged attacks remain under investigation, although there is no link between Caudhil and the victims. Caudhil is also being held for several other past offenses, including assault and sexual assault.

Celinda’s body will be met by her husband and her sister, who is also a Phoenix-based arrival when Flight 3151 arrives in PHX at gate B4 at around 4:30 pm on Friday.

A vigil will be held at Phoenix Sky Harbor upon arrival of Flight 3151.
