A British Airways cabin crew manager has reportedly been arrested on suspicion of committing multiple sex crimes following an investigation by Thames Valley Police into historic allegations dating back to 2018.
Amardip Dhariwal, who was an Inflight Lead in charge of short-haul flights across BA’s European network, has been charged with two counts of rape and three counts of assault by penetration, according to The Sun.
The 52-year-old has already been terminated at the Heathrow-based carrier because of the allegations that allegedly took place in Berkshire and in two locations outside of the United Kingdom.
Last week, a British Airways pilot was suspended over allegations that he assaulted three female crew members during a drunken layover in Johannesburg, South Africa.
The pilot had allegedly gotten into an altercation with his lover, who he had brought to South Africa on a discounted ticket, before being challenged by the three crew members, including the cabin manager.
The following day, the crew members reportedly refused to fly with the pilots, resulting in the flight being canceled and the pilot flying home as a passenger on another flight to face bosses who had learned of the incident.
In April 2023, another senior British Airways pilot was accused of sexually assaulting a female member of cabin crew during a ‘boozy’ layover in Singapore.
The month before that incident, an expat British businessman living in Barbados was charged with seriously sexually assaulting a female member of British Airways cabin crew who had met up with the suspect during a luxury layover on the island.
