As a flight attendant, it goes without saying that TravelPro is one of my favourite luggage brands. Beloved by flight crew around the world, TravelPro invented the original rollaboard, but the brand has since expanded to offer a wide range of luggage options, from small carry-ons to large suitcases, as well as a range of accessories.
TravelPro is pretty well renowned for its durable, hard-wearing cases, and the company has just made it that little bit easier to own some of its quality luggage with a site-wide Father’s Day sale of 15% off pretty much everything.
One of the things I like so much about TravelPro is the company’s back story. The brand was founded back in 1987 by Bob Plath, a former airline pilot who had become frustrated with the poor quality of luggage available to airline crews.
Plath set about designing his own line of luggage that was durable, lightweight, and easy to manoeuvre, and he came up with the original Travelpro Rollaboard. Unsurprisingly, the rollaboard was a massive success and it’s become a product that’s known around the world.
I currently use the TravelPro FlightCrew 5 rollaboard because its just so sturdy, hardwearing and capable of carrying more than enough clothing for a long trip away from home, although TravelPro also offers a range of similar two-wheeled rollaboards that will glide over even the most luxuriously carpeted or airports.
Obviously, I realize that many travelers prefer a four-wheeled case nowadays, and the folks at TravelPro also understand that, and there are probably more of these types of cases than ever before.
Buying a case is a very subjective experience, and while I can recommend certain products (see below), these options might not tick all the boxes you’re looking for. That’s why if you are looking for a new case and just don’t know where to start, I would highly recommend checking out TravelPro’s carry-on comparison guide here.
There’s also a pretty useful luggage size guide which has loads of useful tips about how to make the most of your carry-on luggage and an airline cheat sheet that includes luggage facts for some of the most popular airlines in the U.S.
Whatever you choose, you’re going to get a 100-day trial period which includes free return shipping if you decide you don’t want to keep your luggage, along with free shipping on orders over $99 and the ability to easily arrange repairs should they become necessary.
In fact, one of the reasons I’m a big TravelPro fan is the fact that should you need a replacement part, you can quickly search their website for what you need, order online and carry out a DIY repair – they even have video tutorials for some of the most common repairs.
Of course, the current 15% site-wide discount is only available for a limited time, and it doesn’t include TravelPro’s collab with Travel + Leisure.
