A French bride recently got married in the heart of romantic Paris but she was keen to get her honeymoon underway that she immediately eloped to the airport with her new husband and jumped on a flight to Venice while she was still wearing her enormous wedding dress.
In fact, it wasn’t just the plane that the bride continued to wear her wedding dress, posing for some pretty stunning wedding photos close to St Marks Square and in other famous spots throughout Venice.
The bride, who is an entrepreneur, keen traveller, and founder of the luxury M Concept store, sent a video of her unusual flight to Air France who couldn’t help but share the video with its 1.2 million Instagram followers.
On her own Instagram page, Geraldine also shared photos of her own journey with Air France and through Charles de Gaul Airport.
“I did it,” Geraldine wrote to accompany a video of her running through the airport in her designer LaMariée Capricieuse gown. She shared the hashtag #TakeOffForANewLife to go with the video.
“If you are searching for the man of your life, never stop believing,” Geraldine wrote.
“Because there might be a day or a night, maybe when you least expect it, it’ll hit you in the corner of your face without screaming.”
“That day, catch it, clench your fist real tight and don’t let it slip away. Because last night, as we walked along the Venice Canal in the night on our way to the hotel, we said we’ve never been happier than when we’re in love.”
