While Oman Air has not yet released any official information, eagle-eyed viewers will have noticed a brand new cabin crew uniform that appears in a corporate brand film. Yesterday, Oman Air released the brand film on its Facebook page with little fanfare or explanation but it’s clear that the Muscat-based carrier is switching up its crew uniforms.
As a reminder, this is the uniform that Oman Air cabin crew have worn for quite a few years now…
Whereas, this is the uniform that the cabin crew in the new corporate brand film are seen wearing…
As you can see, the airline has decided to keep the distinctive turquoise colour palette – in fact, it’s featured even more heavily now, although cabin managers now get gold accents.
The hat seems to be completely redesigned, changing from a design that was very reminiscent of the Emirates hat to something more akin to the beret worn by Etihad cabin crew – although, of course, the fabric remains.
It looks like the suiting has been much more tailored, although we don’t yet have any information on who designed the uniform.
Nor do we know when the uniform is expected to be rolled out or the reasoning behind the redesign.
You can check out the full brand video below. It’s clear that Oman Air is setting its sights on really high-value customers and this ties in with Oman’s push towards luxury inbound tourism.
We’ve reached out to Oman Air for further information, so hopefully, we’ll have more details to share with you soon.
